To be fair, Henrico County did give a pretty substantial raise to teachers this past year, and I believe they have the highest teacher pay scale in the Richmond area.
….Of course, their pay scale is as clear as mud and our teachers are still underpaid for what they do, but small wins I guess?

Seconding this, Lakeside is a pretty great transition from the city to the suburbs.

Oh rad! I thought they were still connected to Credit Karma; that’s where I’d done my taxes for years and I was so bummed when I logged in this year.
I’ll give this a try!

Not anymore; they were bought by TurboTax.

Lakeside Animal Hospital gave (or tried to give) sedatives to every pet I have, for things as routine as nail trims. We’ve also been to the Richmond SPCA clinic and to Hanover Green, both which were able to take care of our two dogs and cat without the need for sedatives.
Thoroughly recommend Hanover Green; they have good availability, and their team is so kind and good with our animals. They are pretty reasonably priced too.

That’s wild. My husband and I go to bow tie 2-3 times/month between March and September and have somehow managed to avoid them, but it sounds like we may be living on borrowed time
