Rules are handled by the state, smaller procedural steps are handled at the county level, like stamps. A post here a few days ago showed a mail in ballot envelope that had a new format from one's in previous years, whereas mine is the same as before. Apparently some counties ordered better-designed envelopes and some didnt.

What's the difference in process for absentee and mail-in ballots? At this point I don't think there's actually a difference, but I'm happy to learn otherwise.

Additionally, you can Google about any candidates in races you didn't know about (raising my hand that I've done this lol). Like judges, that kind of thing.

Adams did the same. And they've said they expect to be done counting mail-in/absentee ballots by the afternoon on election day, which is also awesome.

That's ridiculous. I think you're at the point where you have to ask to speak to a manager, or someone with authority. And then politely insist they figure out where your ballot is and get it in the mail now, since you're out of state. And if you get pushback, say things like "the slow process to this point is going to prevent me from exercising my right to vote, is that ok with you?!"

Because people from all over the country are volunteering for whichever organization sent that postcard. Our Senate race is considered critical for both sides.

Bud, I hope you don't say that in front of someone who grows grapes. SLF destroys grapes.

Does that happen a lot in WA and CO? I haven't seen much of those kinds of stories in states where everyone can vote by mail.

Only 1 of them is from PA. That makes it less compelling, at least to me.
