I use my turn signals always. Some people fucking suck at driving. I do not. I've never been in an accident though I only drive a couple of times a year.

Others have already chimed in, but in your position, I would live in Mt. Vernon in Baltimore, especially if you are both taking public transit or you are driving and your partner is taking public transit.

That way your partner can be close to the train station and you can be close to work. That said, if you are both willing to drive, that would open up a ton more options on where to live.

Union Station is pretty close to Capitol Hill so he can walk to work once he gets off the train (within reason of course).

Really? Despite the layoffs that have been happening everywhere recently? I'd say with government issues it's more a matter of pay; their pay scales are smaller and more inflexible and a lot of recently laid-off IT workers would rather take unemployment for a while than to work for half their previous wages.

State/local governments seem to be requiring at least 2 or 3 days a week in the office. But it's understandable - they want to set an example, especially when assessed values for office buildings are dropping and the cities realizes far more property tax revenue from commercial and industrial buildings than residential.

That said I feel like with all the layoffs and crap recently for white collar workers, people's ability to demand remote working options is gradually receding.

Facebook Marketplace is the best from experience. There's also Craigslist but I feel like fewer people use that these days to buy stuff.

Tip: If you want to move your furniture quickly, set a low price. People are often looking for deals. Trust me, it's better to get rid of something for a lower price immediately than to warehouse it for a higher price later.

There are smaller apps like Offerup that might work too but have never tried those.
