People need to get over themselves. When I grew up in VT, we were responsible for our own feelings, not everyone else. Meritocracy ruled, not everyone gets a ribbon.

Go back to the Meads and what of Chaffee? Burke and Pico birthed many. Let’s not forget Weinbrecht; had a few acquaintances who ski’d with her troupe; nothing those guys and gals could get down quickly and gracefully. For what it’s worth, just wrapped up a stunning 5 days of skiing at Heavenly; love VT, but ski anywhere out west and you’ll love the snow…no ice, but the narrow winding trails of VT can only be found there.

Chittenden and stay at the Mountain Top Inn. Used to work there. Can’t speak for service today, some 30 years later, but I know the scenery hasn’t changed and that place is a little piece of heaven.

Less…brother lives in Winchester, NH and never need more than an hour, either way. That said, assuming speed limit, probably puts it outside the hour window
