I learned recently that only the vermiculite mined in Libby, Montana contained asbestos. Granted, it was a large mine, but the other sources of vermiculite around the world and in the US are by and large asbestos free, or sometimes come up trace positive.

So this could either be very reassuring or much more distressing, depending on your proximity to Libby, Montana.

I’m really glad you’re taking this advice; the floor will flex differently than the walls, as does tile from skirting, so it would just be crack city. A flexible caulk is 100% the way to go. Or a wood corner bead (looks like a long stick with a side profile like 1/4 of a circle); less cleaning, though some caulks do much better with resisting grime than others.

I am drywalling the entire downstairs right now and fixing cracks in the plaster all over the upstairs (2200sqft house). Please send an exorcist, at this rate I’ll be done in 2024.

Which are you speaking of? This metareview basically concludes that limiting working hours is not associated with better outcomes, since the one study they found that said that it did also came with a caveat from the study authors that they believed the improvement to be caused by unrelated factors.
