I grew up on the West Side. It's nice, relatively quiet. Kind of like the family suburban area. A few things are in walking distance (and for the most part I either walked or biked everywhere when it was just me). I've also lived on Grafton Hill, where there was a bit more close by, but traffic was ghastly in the morning and evening. Then came Lincoln Street. Not a bad area, good places close by, and the highway was really close. However it was quite noisy. Now we live in the northwest area, near the Holden/West Boylston line and Indian Lake. Easy access to the highway and shops. Quieter, more peaceful.

For everything in Geek/Nerd culture, I would have to point right at That's Entertainment. I've been going to their store for 35 years now, back when they were on Chandler Street. My son goes there too, primarily for vinyl. I go there for RPG material.
I can also point out decent taprooms in the area (Greater Good being the best).

We found that. Two bedrooms plus a smaller room that works as an office when I work from home. And it's in the '06.

You might be surprised though. Our second floor of a two decker is at the upper end of his range, in the 01606, and is quite nice. All depends on what you find and where.

That's not the one that was an adult theater for a bunch of years, was it? I'm not thinking of the Paris Theater on Front Street across from Turtle Boy.

Movie theater in general. Worcester is one of the few cities in this country with a population of 200k+ without one. Back in the day, Worcester had at least three or four:
- Lincoln Plaza (three screens)
- Worcester Galleria (three screens)
- Webster Square (two screens)
- Showcase (five screens, now it's the Hanover Theater)
Plus, White City in Shrewsbury was just over the city line and had bus transport.
Showcase North came along later on, and was the place especially when Lincoln and Webster Square went bye bye. Soon enough, it was the sole theater in all of Worcester. Now it's completely gone, soon to become yet another warehouse complex. Shame.
Mind you, I don't mind hitting up West Boylston or Elm Draught House to support the local business (plus it's cheaper than going to Blackstone), but you have to admit the lack of a theater in general is a bit nuts.

And this is why I ditched Spectrum and went with T-mobile home internet. Never had a problem since.

This is Worcester in Winter. They're going to find where it's warm. They can get in a place through the smallest cracks and holes. Apartments and multi-deckers will likely be rife with them. Not gonna lie, my last flat was the Happy Hunting Grounds for our semi-feral cat.

I've been going to the MB locations in Hudson and Westford for a long time now. Upon hearing that the Shrewsbury location was a thing, I was quite pleased that one would be closer to home. However, I don't think I'll be hitting this one just yet... Wait for the new store craze to die down after a month or so. I remember when Wegmans opened about 12 years ago. Total madhouse for a while.

I'm in Worcester and would gladly make the trip to Wegmans in Northborough without any hesitation. Once you find a good store, it's hard going anywhere else.

On the original post... I may have had to reset the unit once. Changing that password was no big deal. My gateway does have two ethernet jacks on the back. Back in the old flat, I used those for the Roku and PS4. Maybe I have a different model gateway than the OP. Either way, the service is fantastic for the money.

I have been using TMB home internet for 1.5 years and change now. I will never look back.
When I had Spectrum, I was paying for 100/10 up/down. When C19 was in full swing and I was working from home (with wife working and son schooling from home as well), we'd get maybe 20/5 at best. Not good. If have to use my phone's hotspot to be able to work. So, given the opportunity, I dumped them after testing the new connection for a month.
At my old place in the Lincoln Street area, I was pulling down 300/90 or so on average. In my new digs by Indian lake, I'm pulling nearly 400 down and 70-80 up. Nice.
I've been told by TMB customer service that they'll be expanding service area within Worcester through this year, so hopefully the west side will be getting it sooner rather than later.
Me, I'm happy with the service, and am glad I found it when I did.

Sounds about right for what I had off of Grafton Street about 25 years ago, factor in inflation. Up until recently our 2/3 bedroom on Lincoln was 800... Started at 500 back in 2002, went to 625 somewhere in the late 2000s of early 2010s...
