I just don't see it happening, not until it's illegal.

storms/cancelling flights.
Every. Single. Week.
And everyone with their shocked faces is ridiculous.
A surprise? It shouldn't be; it's the state of modern air travel. Should people not travel by air?

Christmas? Yup. You may not know, but for thousands of years, people tend to gather in family groups for the holiday, often crowding around a conifer decked in holly, tinsel, ribbons, ornaments and the like -- and most of the time, there are gifts underneath that tree!
Lots of people have families that are geographically diverse. They tend to plan ahead for gatherings, and frequently have to purchase airline tickets to get to their destination.
I'd love to hear how this arctic blast of cold air, making records as far south as Florida, "happens every year."

Well, there is the time the simple monk meets Lazarus in the desert, when the monk is out doing a vigil. I think Lazarus is described as hopping only on one big toe over the hot sands. That made me chuckle.
Otherwise, the laughs just aren't there. It's a pretty sad telling of the darker side of human nature.
