It's been a decade since I've been but I'll never forget. First time I went, I went with my then gf, now wife, and 3 buddies. The second time I went, I was with my now wife and 2 of the same buddies, it had been 6 months, but the hostess asked if our 5th friend was going to be joining us again. We couldnt believe they remembered us. The food was amazing, and the people working were great. Unfortunately curry doesn't agree with our stomachs or we would go back often.

I'd take a dog at a brewery over all the kids I see stuffed into them every weekend. At least I don't have to worry about a leashed dog running around d the brewery like it's a playground. But again that's not on the kids, it's shitty parents that think a drinking establishment is a good place for kids.

What trade you in? I work in heavy civil site work and we are steady in the Burlington area. Most guys I work with, and other trades we work with commute 0.5-1 hr into the Burlington area. This opens up far cheaper housing while still having a manageable commute. Pay here sucks for all trades compared to the surrounding states but living in Vermont is great and makes it worth it.

It's below freezing from mid November through early April. Can expect snow from late October through late April. Then comes the darkness. It's dark before 5 from November through January. And even now it doesn't get light until 7 in the morning and it's dark by 6 pm. January and February are usually the coldest and snowiest months of the years up here. Can expect a minimum of a week of sub zero temperatures where -15 f is normal.
