I am a big fan of food on sticks (I lived in Minnesota for a couple years and the MN State Fair has an abundance of fantastic food on sticks). I tried a K-Dog last year at the stall at Union Square Holiday Market and came away underwhelmed. Too doughy and whichever one I had just didn't come together at all.

I'll give this one a shot, though. Hope it lives up to the "sensation".

I hope it works out for the current residents here. Apparently, it wasn't the case for Cabrini-Greens in Chicago when they went mixed income.

"And of the thousands of families who were promised they could return, more than 80% never did — some were disqualified, relocated or simply overwhelmed with bureaucracy. Many died waiting. Even today, 85 families who used to live in Cabrini-Green are still on decades-old waiting lists to move back. "

Can you elaborate on this? I thought Scram used to be a food truck in Charleston, SC and the owner, who always wanted a storefront, found it cheaper to open up a brick and mortar location in JC than Charleston. (As difficult as that may be to believe.) Then the pandemic hit shortly after they opened.

My fixed rate mortgage also went up by more than $600 for this year. Part of it is new property taxes and the other part is to make up the escrow that was used to pay for taxes last year especially the retroactive taxes for the first two quarters. I expect the mortgage to go down next year (but still be above 2021) as the escrow will be replenished and the mortgage only reflects current taxes.

Years ago I lost a hat on the PATH and went to the Lost and Found in Journal Square. I didn't find my hat but I was very surprised about the amount of things they had there. The Lost and Found is a great suggestion of where to look.

I don't disagree with the resume padding aspect but in this case the museum may actually be an improvement. I don't particularly like the initial cost for the building and then the annual payments. But it will be nice to have a world class museum within walking distance.

I walk down Erie every morning to the PATH and while 7th Street is the worst for crossing, every side street is it’s own adventure. It really is ridiculous.

After years of complaints about Erie and 7th the City made it an all stop intersection. This has made it worse for pedestrians as cars on 7th now expect the cars on Erie to stop and they just roll through. When there was no stop sign on Erie at least they had to stop to prevent getting T-boned.

I honestly have no idea what residents can do about this.
