Thankfully, it is merely nature, not man that makes it look that way, also very shallow so you can see the life at the bottom of the river as well. What you see here is mud, algae and river grass.
There is unfortunately a section down River that is sometimes trashed as the Guadalupe has a popular tubing section. Thankfully it is MILES away.

Correction; It is actually the Guadalupe River in Comal County! EDIT: It's not letting me edit the post! Guadalupe River is correct!
