I went from DT1770 to the XS, I'll never go back to beyerdynamic. Much prefer the bass in the XS after a +3dB low shelf.

I used the DT770 for 10 years, recently tried them again and I don't like them anymore lol.

I love my XS, but I'm definitely going to upgrade eventually. The only headphone that interests me is the HE1000 v3.
VisceralVoyage420 t1_je8ytii wrote
I want the HE1000v3. Unless someone has suggestions on headphones with similar sound quality at 1999€?

If you enjoy full body bass you should check out the SubPac. It's insanely good. They output low frequencies directly into your body and they do it accurately and well.

I'd love to have a decent sounding speaker setup, but the room geometry and acoustics are terrible, I don't want my living room to look like a recording studio. Plus I doubt my SO would like constant music at body shaking volume. I spend hours every day just melting into my chair.

"Why do you need so many headphones?". I only have 3 that I use (home, work and outside) plus a pair of DT770 in storage somewhere as a backup.

Used SubPac S2 beats any subwoofer setup IMO. The amount of wattage you'd need for a comparable body sensation would leave you deaf. I can have that at 3AM without anyone noticing.

That's crazy, my KSC75x sounds like something that came with a tape player in the 80's. They can't hold a candle to my Elac Debut Reference speakers and I have terrible acoustics and zero room treatment. Very rarely even bother listening to the speakers because they sound bad.

What's the point? Another cheap IEM that doesn't do anything new.

The 1770 has a lot of bass though? I added EQ to remove some of the intense pressure.

There's no point in using wired headphones outside your home.

Tremors in the static was my favorite album last year. I really hope they're going to make new music.

I'd rather get good sounding headphones and add a SubPac into the mix.

They literally have vibrators in them, it's not actual infrasound.

I've listened to Speakers. The XS sounds big. I'm not into speaker setups, but the XS easily sounds better than my Elac Debut Reference speakers.

The only audio equipment that's broken on me were the Sennheiser Momentum TWS 3 and Sennheiser IE80 IEMs. But I know people are going to say "that's not what Sennheiser is known for".

SubPac S2 can do bass better than any subwoofer. You'll feel every low note in your body and it's seamless with the headphones. I'll take the S2 bass over a subwoofer any day. No bass traps required and you can have a full body experience even at night without bothering anyone. And best of all, no hearing damage.

I prefer my headphones to my speakers. The amount of adjusting, room correcting, acoustic paneling, bass trapping etc. I'd need to do to get even close to sound as good as my headphones is not an option for me. Also I'll take a vegan burger over a "regular" one any day, but that's subjective.
