Before assuming this is just a UPMC problem, I would also make sure you haven't been the victim of identity theft

And closed on Sun. And no dressing rooms.
There is also one on Ohio River Blvd in the North Hills.

I haven't been car shopping but someone just posted a 10+ year old car on my local neighborhood group recently for more than blue book. They admitted it in the ad too, and tried to explain why they were justified. No, just no.

The market in Dormont has been crazy. I looked there and was turned away by everything getting multiple offers and over list. Even saw a fixer upper, same story

Inventory is very low right now so if you have time to wait you may want to wait, especially with the interest rates up
When I was looking at a single family house for my family one of the neighborhoods that we saw things around that price was Swissville.

That's over 4 times my mortgage. Hell no would I pay that for rent in Pittsburgh. I used to pay $1500/month on the East End and that was still more than mortgage

They didn't ask for unsolicited advice. Usually unsolicited advice from internet strangers is not well received. For all you know one of them is very high risk.

I don't see why the previous homeowners would pay. It isn't like you can prove they intentionally misled you, just the opposite, they were probably conned themselves. Unless you have a home warranty, this expense is going to be on you

There are plenty of safe family oriented neighborhoods you can buy in for under 200k.

What one person considers a "great neighborhood" may be overpriced suburbia to someone else. I bought for under 200k in a "great neighborhood." I also did not want a McMansion or a new build.

It definitely has its perks. Biggest downside is the school district but if you don't care about school district you are close to the city and right on the bus way.
