Our gas bill dropped by almost half when we got a new furnace in 2008. It’s 92% efficient. That’s probably your cheapest choice. We also had shitty windows until last year. The bill has gone down since the windows too but not as much as the furnace.

Has unemployment service gone downhill in the last couple years? I was on unemployment from late 2020 to March 2021. I signed up my first eligible date and started getting checks until I was employed again. This was early Covid so maybe the system wasn’t as stressed.

This is why these elections are held in odd years. The turnout is even lower than a normal off year congressional election.

This isn’t quite what the op is talking about but in Forest Hills some intersections have smart lights with sensors so that side streets only go green when there is a vehicle.

Democrats do very little fraud. It is impossible to do large scale fraud like the Republicans claim. If you watch returns on election night you see the results come in county by county. You’d have to compromise a lot of counties to flip an election. Not to mention voting fraud in significant numbers is impossible.

Yes I realize there are mixed political neighborhoods. I was just saying many are pretty homogeneous. There were only a few Trump signs in my neighborhood and one flag whose moved not long after the election probably a coincidence.

In many neighborhoods I think they’re pointless. In my neighborhood for instance I see many signs for Fetterman and Shapiro and the local Congressional candidate but I’m sure our neighborhood will vote 90% Democratic anyway so why bother. Pretty much nobody comes to our neighborhood unless they live here or have business.

That hasn’t worked too well with Synema. It all depends on their goals. If they a public profile they’ll do what they want. If they want to climb the Senate hierarchy then they’ll shut up. I think for very different reasons they both would take the first option.
