Newport drags the average up. We toured one of the places two years ago when I was planning on getting married and to just meet minimums for a wedding under a a hundred people, we were looking at like a 5 hour open bar.

I mean, I still use cash for shit so that helps. But honestly, any bar (that isn't an intentional pool hall like Snookers, RI Billiards or Bo's) that has pool tables will generally have a converter machine as well since they tend to be quarter fed tables.

Most of the breweries I visit stopped with growlers because it was largely impractical and you missed a good marketing opportunity by not having the cans. That being said, there's not many that I know that would actively discourage it if you brought it in. Show up, be friendly, have a couple of beers and more often than not they'll find a way to accommodate you for an additional sale.

Honestly, just show up and ask around. Bravo in Burriville and Lops in Woonsocket might do it, I see it occasionally, Smug in Pawtucket I definitely know does it. Buzzards Bay in Westport. Honestly, I'm kinda happy we're moving away from growlers. I have a mountain of them sitting in my basement that I keep forgetting when I go to the actual brewery.

Ehh....you either got a new parking enforcement going after your area or having someone playing neighborhood watch. Probably wise to move your car around a bit for the next week to see which one it is.
