She’s a little wild, but I love her. I was more frightened about how Harper’s spectral younger self might react. The painting looks fine now. All is well.

I really don’t understand Amy’s sinister strategy, but I think Harper might be able to shed some light.

Yeah, the incident with the painting was entirely my fault. I also shouldn’t have left her alone with Miss Andrews.

As u/Joran212 correctly inferred, there are plenty of eyes on the paintings during the day. But I understand everybody’s confusion. I’m confused. So many unanswered questions. I have considered this for months, but I need to summon the courage to visit Harper.

There must be a reason that she hasn’t released the entities. Her acts of sabotage always seem subtle, don’t they?

When I first started the job at the gallery, post-lockdown, we were in a much worse financial situation. Money isn’t an issue anymore. I just need to be brave and quit my day job.

As u/mad_mad_madi said, it’s about regular observance, not unwavering observance. Otherwise, I’d have to make sure I never blink and somehow look at every single painting simultaneously.

The place does seem to burn money, but Amy Andrews is very wealthy.

Over the last few months, I’ve certainly considered quitting my day job. It’d be nice to spend more time with my wife.

There have been other incidents over the past two years. And I can’t keep a lid on things forever. I fear what the future holds.

I was furious at Miss Andrews, but she claimed that she was merely “testing” me. She said that it takes the right kind of person to protect humanity. Too right. I wouldn’t want to place our lives in her hands. She’s insane.

After that terrifying first shift, I confronted Amy, and she told me that her sister imprisoned the entity. If I were to destroy the painting, I would free the Exacter. Think of it as a cell.

Ron said that, not me. The guy threw up at the sight of my blood, so I don’t think he took a proper look. My left hand is practically non-existent though.

She has a job, everyone! And Miss Andrews didn’t charge what I think everybody imagines she charged. Plus, our financial situation has improved since 2021. I should probably drop the day job.
