Stated another way, it's our perception of pain that will impact the world. To hold pain in your hand and admire it for what it is, then it finally loses control over you.
I know few men that sit with pain as I do. I've become a friend to it but willing to show the world the fire is ready for you.

You said it yourself, greed. The want of others for themselves. Some, believe themselves strongminded, but will fail themselves, not by by others but they will look back and kick themselves for not the very thing they couldn't be taken by. THAT is the beauty of the silver tongue. Be Brief. Be Brilliant. Be Gone.
My wife with tell you, within 10 seconds I know if someone is good or not.

Those who are good have two choices:
Rise purposely or steal the mind of the less inclined. Rise, always. Be mindful of these with sliver tongues, they will speak to hearts without a motive other than themselves.

It's rational to be skeptical.
Well, God and aliens are very different. I certainly think aliens could exist mostly because I believe God the grand creator.
Let's get to this idea of evidence, it's really opinion isn't it? Empirical philosophy would say so.

How can this be without contradiction? Pleasure is selfishness. I think pleasure a dangerous game to play.

Well said, I'm highly against capital punishment. Take a life for a life(ves) will not bring those killed to life. Speaking of which the criminal "justice" system in the USA is broken. There is no rehabilitation going on, just big business making money on the mistakes of others. Other countries like Canada and Denmark focus properly on true rehab.

I'm not sure what to think about hedonism. If we were to all be hedonists, the world would be selfish and unconstructive. Biologically it makes perfect sense to chase the dragon of happiness, but I think we are built for more. That more, is others. Utilitarianism makes much more sense to my small mind than hedonism.

Sure, thanks for asking. Stoicism is about control of our minds but we should pour our hearts out to others. The mind and the heart are most congruent.

It think stoicism is a beautiful endeavor, but lacks completeness.

There is no definition of absurdity given here. We are left to wonder what is absurd. That's the challenge of life, not supposing to know but to try to understand.
