Literally from an accounting standpoint this cannot happen unless the business wants to be audited and shut down.

Even the sketchiest businesses that I've seen the books around here don't fuck with that.

Ok but unless they have a tip pool then tips are never distributed equally so. Maybe should talk with other employees about how much in tips they are receiving.

As a former accountant for many well known businesses in this area, as much as I want to agree with you on this, I have had to explain to many employees who misunderstand how to read a paycheck.

Not saying this doesn't happen, BUT more often than not... it's the former.
