I use ProCamera and turn off all processing. And when I do care about the photo I photograph in RAW and not ProRAW. But native iPhone photos suck hard, the newer model the worse.

The iPhone is always overexposing, it has priority for face and shadows. When making a photo tap on the light object (sky for example), so it will correct the exposure and you can always pull out shadows in post. You can also use profiles (rich contrast) to counter that behavior a little.

Fun fact: it is basically impossible to get an overexposed photo shooting auto on pixel 6 and 7.

Wow this is seriously good thing, you can set your screen just as you like it. Because of screen lottery they all are differently hued, so with that it’s a non issue.
