I think AI could do it, considering some of what we've witnessed. "Change names and places. Change magical to tech. Change tech to magical."
Looks at Harry Potter.
Twilight.
Fifty Shades.
... Shadowhunters.

Oh, yes. They could write prose fiction that rivals human intellect. As I recently read about in Blindsight, by Watts, there's this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chinese_room thing.
An AI will never write the stories I have in my head.
Unfortunately, whether or not I will ever write those stories is rather key for me, personally.

It would be a fine idea, if whomever you're renting from is willing. Make sure you get it in writing that you've paid already for this many months.

I chatted with friends recently. They are GPs with a small passel of kids. They haven’t had meals with anyone outside the family in three years. Haven’t had anyone over or been to other people’s homes. This was their way of saying they would really rather that I not stop by for a visit. They’ve gotten their vaccinations and are strict about masking, so no one in the family has caught it yet, that they know of.

Reply to ELI5 Are facial expressions and reactions like laughing learned, or do all humans do it? by David1192
The hardest part is to track down actual pictures, information, and footage of those who were raised from infancy by animals. I have this vague idea that, without reinforcement from human faces around them, the muscles for smiling will atrophy.

Does this mean you want to meet him? And if you’re looking for another man to get together with, well that’s when pretending to be a woman is probably a very bad idea. Many a news report has been about how some people leave a corpse behind when they’ve been tricked like this.

Ha ha ha! That’s okay, though. One time isn’t going to hurt anything. At least, not unless they have bad luck.

Ah, that's right! Leto II got away with quite a lot, didn't he, with his thought-dictation. And they really trapped themselves with that overabundance of restrictions. Or rather, they trapped everyone else.

Heck, without the spice they might have to... build computers. You'd think they'd know that you can bleeping have computers without making AI. Especially the BG, who have memories that go way back.

Eh. I can't speak for the movie, but without spice they're stuck with going the slow way around, the Guild loses its monopoly of all travel. The Emperor can't just drop his forces anywhere at his whim (though that requires the cooperation of the Guild). The BG have to go back to less useful methods for unlocking their ability to tap into their ancestors.

Erm. Well, the inherent difference is that the spouses and SO generally aren't going to "have a spouse or SO of their own" to appreciate how hard it must have been for you before you're gone, unless you or they weren't good partners.
In general, though, the spouse or SO who doesn't appreciate a good partner is not a good partner themselves.

See, the boy loving the dog is actually one of the most realistic parts to me. I have cats, though. Additional point, in the story he's that young man, and he, in the way that the young often are, doesn't really believe he's in danger until he really is.
