You should do a r/casualiama, I have so many questions. I assume you manage easily due to a fortunate financial situation. But how do you handle all your belongings? Do you live a minimalist lifestyle? House buying is a pain most people don’t want to go through, how do you manage the aches and pains of new home ownership and finding all the new issues that need to be resolved?

What I will say OP is that maybe it’s just not the right time for you. I go through about two phases a year where I can get into audiobooks, right timing right mood, and then I’m over them. Don’t give up hope and try again in 4-6 months!

I agree with you on the construction industry being resistant to change. Namely that it puts an added cost on any project. Unless an innovator came into the market and totally started disrupting the proposal game with their technology, I assume there will be many who will try to maintain the status quo. Some other people mentioned AR and I think maybe that would be more well utilized than VR in most situations, I had forgotten about AR

I’ve been noticing a lot more of what seems to be guerrilla marketing on major subs recently, especially r/movies and r/television. Usually it’s an opinion on something being good with almost a textbook paragraph of persuasive argument with excellent grammar, spelling and punctuation. It’s quite transparent, IMO

Find a local mechanic to get chummy with. Get recommendations on your towns Facebook forum if you’re on Facebook, and explain your situation. Some of these mechanics get used cars for a song and will sell it to you cash for only a small profit if you are close with them

I’ve had Spotify premium for years. But honestly I like commercials (except political ones). I went to business school so I listen to or watch commercials with this critical ear/eye of “okay this is what a bunch of probably mostly white corporate suits okayed as a message to their consumers after having it presented to them by a marketing department” and I try to spot trends and the hidden message etc. For instance with the Jill Merriam commercials up til the end of last year I could’ve sworn she had a marketing director who finally told her to tamp down her obnoxiousness in her commercials cause she went through a phase of subjectively markedly restrained dictation
