Why not just get some black out paper? It's only a few dollars at Walmart/Amazon

They go on the inside. Blocks all the light and keeps a good amount of heat out as well. For outside the window you can do a sun screen. Essentially blocks all sun from hitting the window and blocks a ton of the heat
