Mmm sure. Except its simple math. Air mixes rapidly. The volume of the rail cars is known. Water quality hazard in the area and downstream? Definitely. Local air quality hazard sure. 1000 miles away after atmospheric mixing? Parts per billion. Or less.

A rail car tank holds maybe 6,000 cubic feet. Vaporize that in a single cubic mile of air and you are already diluted to 1 part per 25 million.

I think it's just processing lag. Probably take sample but process lags, as that is not something that is usually looked for.
And frankly the amount of burned chemical is miniscule compared to the atmospheric dilution. I'm going with this event outside the immediate area is environmentally irrelevant.

Minimum wage is now 13.80 an hour. That $550 a week 29 k a year. And most places are starting higher. That's not magic. That's the lowest possible pay.

True, but it's a cost and investment. 40k minimum and four years of time to make 30% more then the worst possible pay. When you could have not spent the money, worked full time those four years and had 4 years of experience and raises in another career path. It's decent in terms of teacher pay maybe but not in terms of pay inflation in many other fields.

Yeah it is... Minimum wage is 29k a year now.... Requiring a college degree to make only 30% more then minimum wage?

Why is reviewing the costs of the building and energy codes never a recommendation? Certain things like afci breakers cost huge amounts and their return is questionable.

Ehh. No. Most native plants have large ranges. Maine is at the northern end of some species, but not really at the southern end of many. Most of our species run commonly down to the Mid-Atlantic states anyway.

It grows here as an ornamental, but it's uncommon and usually densely branchy and small diameter. You might find a log or two, but never s truckload. Down south it grows like and is a weed effectively in fencerows etc.

These guys only have western red cedar. And if anyone had eastern they would. It's generally a small low quality not millable tree till you get down to probably like Virginia.
