A political party should be doing positive things to get my vote. If they stop doing things that I like, they do not get my vote. That’s kinda the great thing about democracy.

Lmao, I have one of the best public educations in the country, a degree in English with a literature concentration, and am currently in law school. My knowledge of American political history is pretty deep and intimate.
I agree that many US elites do not care about the proletariat. The Republican Party is overwhelmingly trying to strip freedom from citizens. The policies of the democrats are more in favor of those who labour so I vote in that interest.
If you knew about american you’d know it’s pointless to judge either one on their past. The Republican Party hasn’t been progressive since Roosevelt, and the democrats lost their conservatives following the voting rights act. It’s much more imperative to vote on policy, of which the Republican Party really has none.

This isn’t the rhetorical slam dunk you think it is, but go on.

January 6th was a coup by definition. Anybody who still supports the regressive beliefs of the Republican Party is anti-American and anti-democratic.

Moved in with my parents after college to focus on finding a job and housing. Job search has been super competitive for wages that wouldn’t allow me to rent within the state. Doing all that I can to save up rn and bust my ass at my current job while trying to manage my job search in my free time. Even with all that I’m saving I’d be able to afford rent for a year but I’m afraid I’ll be outpaced and have to move back home again. Super grateful that I have my parents and managed my college debt so well when I was 18, but I can see how bleak things look for those around me and it’s very upsetting.
