I remember learning about it in 7th grade. It wasn't in chemistry class, it was because we all read A Child Called It. It was a memoir from someone who experienced horrific child abuse. One of the things his mom did was mix ammonia and bleach and make him clean the bathroom, breathing in the toxic fumes.

Yeah I live a block from Ironclad and never go there. It's just too expensive for what it is.

Tacos Mexico off Jeff Davis in Southside looks so sketch, but the tacos are so good.

Reply to Living in the City of Richmond by CrossFitPotter
I live in the city, Shockoe specifically. I can walk to the hospital from my condo (don't need to though, cuz I don't actually work there). I've got a small yard for my mini dogs, but they still need to be walked to get the real exercise. I've lived in Chesterfield, but I think living in the city is more enjoyable. There's just more to do easily. Plus you get that fun game of where will I find parking today?

Appomattox River Trail Park in Southern Chesterfield is flat and along the river. I only saw a couple people the whole time I was in that park. It's a bit farther than 20 min from the city though.

Byrd Park has a bathroom. Other than that, Hollywood Cemetery is the only other public bathroom in the city I can think of.

Trying to make kids appreciate their lives more? Learning empathy? I do remember that 9/11 happened at the beginning of my 7th grade year. I don't know if that affected the curriculum at all. Take it up with my English teacher I suppose.
