It probably will go supernova in the near term on a cosmic time scale but that can mean anything between now and millions of years from now.

I think if Artemis goes well it may be possible before the end of the decade. If Artemis has issues or if we discover new challenges and obstacles we didn’t anticipate before it may be delayed until 2040 until that gets resolved.

Reply to ELI5: Now that Twitter is a private company and is no longer publicly traded, what happens to all the shares that were held by Twitter's former shareholders? Do they just lose all the money they had tied up in Twitter stock? by modern_aftermath
They receive cash for each share of twitter stock held. Elon’s buy price works out to $54.20/share so if you held twitter stock you will receive the equivalent amount in cash for esch share but they will no longer hold ownership or shares in the company after.

Reply to comment by meistermichi in eli5 We have a digital scale and one day we ran the experiment where a friend weighted exactly 81.231Kg. He ate 421grs of boneless chicken wings, when he was done he weighted exactly the same as before, why? by minimalhyena
Yes but that is insignificant by comparison

Scales aren’t always 100% accurate and they may not be sensitive enough to pick up on small changes in weight. I would try the test again with a more accurate and sensitive scale. But regardless of what the scale says you can be assured that your friend’s weight increased by the weight of the food he/she consumed.
Try taking a heavy dumbell that you know the weight off and weigh yourself without it and then with it and see if the number changes by the same weight as the dumbell.

Reply to Should I contribute to a Roth or Traditional 401K? by Awonymous2
The only difference is whether you want to pay taxes now or later when you withdraw. In other words, if you anticipate your retirement tax rate to be higher than your current tax rate you should opt for roth and pay the lower tax rate now. If you think your tax rate will be lower in retirement you should take the tax break now and pay the lower rate later. But there’s other variables personal to you that may affect this decision as well.
