Because you were. Which is the outcome when you clearly don't have the issue you claim to have.

They don't have the time or energy, or resources, to coddle somebody who doesn't have an actual reason to be there.

You were taking up time and space that could have been used to treat somebody with an actual problem.

Dude, you utterly can't handle yourself in a fight, you just think you can. And this reads more like somebody who watches martial arts instead of actually doing them.

throat punches are way too dangerous to use unless you are in serious danger. I use them, because I'm the 130 pound dude dealing with a much bigger guy, and I make certain witness see him throw the first punch. And, even then, I pull it, by using the web between thumb and hand.

And, kicks to the knee are super easy to pull off. It's why they are banned in sparring and tournaments. for somebody with tae kwon do training, leaving yourself wide open to a beginner kick is pretty sad.

Contaminated, maybe. Might have dislodged some tar or resin that hit your lungs wrong. Every so often when I clean my pipe I do that, and that may have been the issue. Or it could have just been an anxiety moment, just a sudden blip of bad feeling. It sometimes happens.

You aren't wrong to decide to be more careful, though.

Well, except not really.

First, it's an expensive mistake, that's a legit reason to be upset. Second, it was a "dumb" mistake. I'm not coming down on OP, but finding out how anxious a driver your kid is at this point is also stressful.

And, last - this accident was a no harm one, but it could easily have been vastly worse. that kind of thing is also upsetting to a parent.

Now, if Dad holds this over them forever, he's out of line, but being upset for a day or so? not really out of line.

To be fair, there are a ton of different types of casing out there, and some artificial casing is easier to consume than the natural stuff.

But, yeah, you have your paper type casing, which may or may not be edible. You have plastic casing, not edible. But there is collegen casing, which is pretty much an edible plastic. and then you have the natural casing, ie, animal guts.
