Reply to Pa. delegation pushes to end opioid treatment co-pays, saying many people thwarted by cost by oldschoolskater
I recently reached out for help after years of substance abuse. It's not opioid addiction, but alcohol. I had to see the doctor and counselor once a month. For me to be prescribed Naltrexone, I had to take a urine test for a tox screening. Each visit I had a $20 co pay and had to pay out of pocket $488 dollars. That is WITH insurance that I get through my employer.
I had to recently cancel my last appointment because I paid nearly $1100 in the last 2 months. $500 extra dollars a month is something I do not have.

This type of thinking has always been brain dead. "You're worried about the tsunami in Japan while we just had the biggest oil spill here in the South?"
Yes, as an adult, we can think about more than 1 thing at a time.

The better question is after what they find, how much money is going to be spent prosecuting this company and it's negligence? That's what I'm more interested in.

That's the only culture here. We have no culture. I've worked with people from Taiwan, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Azerbaijan, and so on. I'm told the same thing by all of them, that America's literally only known for working themselves to death for no reason. Only 2 out of all the people I've worked with have stuck around here. The rest went back to their home country after working here extended periods of time. The "culture" here is work until you can't and then you're of no use so just go die in a hole somewhere, but make sure not somewhere inconvenient that might make another worker late.
We work for NOTHING here. We get nothing in return with our labor other than funneling money to the top 1%. No mandated vacation, no paid maternity/paternity time, no public health insurance, no access to affordable education, affordable child care, no NOTHING.

There's a LOT of dental professionals and the ADA that have been pushing for legislation to include dental as part of health insurance because what happens in your mouth affects the rest of your HEALTH. Your eyes and teeth are not separate from the rest of your body and shouldn't be classified as so with insurance.

Exactly. This is America. To pretend you're not looked at only as a robot with a number put here on Earth to make the owner more money...who we trying to fool ? That's all any of us are of value for, how much labor can we produce. Same reason we have such a resentment of the poor here. Can't extract capital out of them so they aren't worth the air they breathe to these ghouls and fuck faces.

Voting for an Independent is not throwing away a vote. It shows people are voting for them and continues to build momentum over time. It's only a wasted vote if you dont bother voting causing a self fulfilling prophecy.

Millennials and Gen Z are turning out to vote and if you think any of us are in support of the current Republican ideology of more guns, more religion and anything to help out big corporations, then I'll stick a kazoo up my ass and run naked down the Scranton Expressway.

You think there will be a fine? More like a strongly worded email that will probably get spam filtered.

"If the punishment for breaking the law is only a fine then the law only applies to poor people."
How about significant jail time?

Thank you for the information and all the kind upvotes. Unfortunately I work in a field that has never been unionized anywhere in the United States. I don't want to go into the line of work I do, but I appreciate looking out for a fellow stranger :)
