You remove the sugar water entirely and test which cards they go to when foraging. Similar to how you train any animal. You start with food rewards and praise, eventually they'll do it just for praise.

Theoretical and fictional mean the same thing. A device with infinite memory is a thing of fiction, but because it's a useful concept for theories tested in math and science we label it theoretical instead.
Beyond that, the first computer was built by Babbage in the 1830s, 100 years before the Turing machine was thought up, unfortunately he died before he finished his general purpose analytical machine, but his differece engines are generally considered the first iterations of modern computers.

Togo often ran away for a few months and wasn't around for the press tour, Balto was chosen because Togo wasn't back yet and the press couldn't wait.

It's important to note that Balto was chosen because the dog that actually lead the majority of the run had run away for a few months immediately after the race, as it often did, and the musher couldn't get the press to wait and was forced to bring Balto with him.

We use casual inference, a type of math that is basically allowing us to establish causal relationships based on actions we could have taken but didn't, and give everyone in the trial the drug. We can then compare what "would have happened" with what actually happened.

CBD oil is an option and it doesn't have the same level of feeling high, while still providing some benefit, compared to other methods. It's not totally high-proof, but it's much less impactful than smoking or eating or vaping.

IBS and UC are different illnesses the can have similar symptoms. UC is fairly difficult to diagnose as it could be multiple other IBDs that just happen to be localised to the colon.

This one study is showing that the improvements are significant enough to reduce ER visits, it's not the only study that's ever been done on the subject. There are other effects from past studies that have already been established, expecting all of them to be re-presented in a new study is nonsense.

Except that was attributed to diet and exercise, not to plastics.
