Starbound shares the exact same problem. When you have quintillions of procedurally generated environments it's inevitable that a lot of them will feel pretty much exactly the same

Oh I agree with you 100%, I want the game to be amazing and well worth the time and money. It looks very promising, I just know Bethesda so it's hard to set high expectations.

I expect it to be a standard Bethesda game, set with the standard bugs and jank, except in space.

I mean, Doom (2016) has a story but the best way to play it is to just ignore it.

That said, yes it is absolutely worth $5.
