This was taken on the east side of the state, where it's a lot drier and gets a whole less rain. If you are moving to the west side of the Cascades, be prepared for lots of rain!

As a person who grew up in the Palouse, just get off the highways and you'll see plenty. Take a side road through the fields and see where it takes you. You'll find more old buildings that way than along highway routes.
