The sexist part of my brian kind of assumed this was a male dominated sub, so it's nice to see some more feminine products here!
My daughter would love this bag too.

Well we would basically need to be able to effectively colonize a nearer celestial body, then be able to refine and miniaturized THAT tech, as well as refine and miniaturized the tech used in the transport ship so that we could build something massive and efficient enough to house multiple generations of people. And for a generation ship to work ot would have to accommodate both a large number and handle a wide variance of growth, as birthrates become less predictable the smaller the gene pool gets.
Personally I would think if we could develop that tech, we should just live on space stations.

It's a hood time to "retool" societies for transitioning to socialism. If people could get past their ideological hang ups, we are moving towards a future in which a more collectivist economic system is more and more viable, and I would argue that at a certain point of development, we would actually face some strong economic penalties for hanging on so tightly to our current industrial/economic systems.

I'm aware of their party's name, but I see modern day China (and russia) as capitalistic.
They exploit their own people and their neighbors and I don't see them uplifting anyone else. But at the end of the day my opinion doesn't matter, time will tell.
Africa is certainly due another golden age, and they have the resources for it to be sure, but global capitalism/colonialism has decimated the reigon and I don't know that it will ever stop, and even if it does the lasting affects will be beyond calculation.

You think they haven't known that for at least half a century already? Probably much longer than that to be honeat.

I don't see China uplifting anyone they could instead exploit either

The idea that the western world will allow Africa to develop beyond its current point (in relation to them) is laughable.
