I love a film that takes the time to tell a story so well, and this has always been a favorite. So many threads to pull on, but it never seemed too messy or complex. Appreciate the insights.

Yep, and a bunch of other notable cast. Robert Duvall got an Oscar nomination for his part.

Have you considered one of these? You would still need to extend the box itself

Many of these types of washers have a filter that collects stuff from the wash water. My LG did, and I imagine if it got clogged from never cleaning it, it would back up eventually.

One of my favorite films. I enjoyed the pace of the film. Nothing was rushed and it let me get into Anthony Hopkins mind and feel his sense of impending death. What his life's work was actually worth when all is said and done, and how that weighs out against his relationship with family. The evolution of everyone trying to figure out what was going on as the story unfolds around them. It seems like too many movies have to have chaos and carnage and it's nice to see one take the time to tell a story worth telling, and do so in a thoughtful and deliberate way.
