Free Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) like Garage Band for Mac - Free

Music Production Keyboard - $120 (link to one of the best to start with in my opinion)

Basic digital audio interface - $40

$160 plus cables, monitors/headphones and other misc. and youve got your basics to create and produce all the songs in your head youcould want. As you progress, youll want higher end equipment but thats a pretty great set up to start with.

It could be seen that way. I feel like the references to being asked to dinner and feeling the touch of love again pushes it in the romantic direction but could totally be seen as an unspecified loss. He's made a couple comments here and there in live performances but dont think anything for sure cementing it. Def a heavy one and a feeling I think most people still feeling the fresh wounds can attest to.

The Get Up Kids - I'll Catch You

Colin Hay - I just dont think I'll get over you (one of the most amazing break up songs on the planet)

EDEN - Drugs (to the bone pain for people with certain histories)

Any personal leanings? Prefer the heavier lyrically denser type of stuff? More upbeat? Angry? Hip hop is a beautiful genre for exploring that kind of thing, there are so many lesser known underground artists more focused on the craft and writing honest music instead of radio hits. Just need a little diretion and I can list a half dozen to get you started heh

Also highly suggest electro-swing. Not artificial feel but contemporary and head nodder beats. Maybe check
Parov Stelar - Cat Groove

Caravan Palace - Lone Digger (great video)

Aaron Chupa - Little Swing
