Giving people the means to express themselves is the thing that saves the planet. The problem is not not enough resources but mostly the fact we are willing to kill and exploit each other. So doing things that develop our culture is helping us survive. It is often the utilitarian approach to life that makes life miserable and miserable people are more willing to exploit each other

There is many sidedness to these things. Your doomsaying is more reflective of your mental state rather than the true state of the world. I know things are changing fast and that can be scary because of the uncertainty but consider you are avoiding seeing the beauty of our world we live in.
