It's probably 90% searches for "How shite is Gotham Knights?" or similar. It's all engagement I suppose.

Reply to How much (or little) do you value the importance of awards shows like the Emmys? by unitedfan6191
I've never used them as a measure of anything for TV shows as places like this sub has me covered and have read it daily for I don't know how long, over a decade? but I used to use the Oscars as a prompt to try some movies. I don't watch many movies so I assumed the Oscar nominees were the creme de la creme, reality was that although some would be really good most were clearly just made with the Oscars in mind.
I see the whole awards scene as them all just patting each other in the back, it has little to do with us the viewers.

While Netflix might not be the best bet for the most faithful adaptation they're probably more likely to actually finish the story. Although they've said it's renewed waiting for 2nd seasons of Chinese shows is a nightmare, it could be 1 year, 5 years or even never. It's supposedly really popular over there so hopefully it falls more on the quicker end of the scale but they don't have a good track record.

Usually have 1 show being binged then a couple of currently airing shows that I'll watch the newest episodes as they release. Sometimes I have more current ones on the go but I try not to as it often ends up feeling like an obligation rather than entertainment when I try to keep up with too many.
As for taking a break to binge something else in the middle? Sometimes but tends to be if I'm getting bored of the first one and usually ends up in it being dropped.

At the start yeah but the writing ends up all over the place as it progresses.

Delete your bookmark for letterboxd, social media is supposed to be a tool and not something that dictates your life. That feeling of obligation you have for it is all in your mind and the other users you are worried about really don't care one way or the other what you watch.

Reply to How did HBO fucked up so bad with Velma ? by [deleted]
She's been involved in a lot of successful projects in different positions so from a numbers POV her involvement likely seemed like a good bet when just looking at the data. Someone will get sacked for not looking deeper at her content and doing due diligence though when giving her carte blanche.
I dunno if you remember the threads when this was announced, at the time loads of people were predicting this kind of outcome but they became downvote central as everything negative was accused of homophobia, racism etc.

What's up with all these posts lately, they either go full out slagging off the Rhaenyra character or do it in round about ways like this one.
It stinks.

I think this was written well enough it would have been a good show no matter who was cast in it as long as they were "good" but the people they got were what raised it to a great one. The perfect actors for the roles.
