Okay, so it isn't in Springfield but Marshfield has this food truck that has the best burgers I have ever had. This is going to sound like a joke, but its called Tokyo Hibachi Express, and recently they split the business from a lone food truck to a food truck and a dine in location. You want the food truck. I know you wouldn't expect a Japanese food truck to have the best burger, but I also don't buy burgers anywhere else.

Stay away from Horrmanns prices are awful. They intentionally mislead you about quality while you can get the exact same cuts for literally half the price at the other places.

I haven't tried Schuman's Meat Company although I do know one guy that works there and I don't think he'd be there if it wasn't at least okay. This would be my first pick.

In lots of ways you'll be better off buying from Sam's, Costco or Hy-Vee. You'll have to do a bit of trimming but that would be my second pick and prices will probably be better

Yup! Relatively big flash, only lasted a couple seconds. Counted myself lucky to see it, didn't know there was a shower last night.

I miss that place too, worst (best?) part is they closed because the people working there just wanted to do something else. They were profitable but wouldn't sell. Shame really.

Were I to try this (and I've been tempted) I'd probably try lots of conservation areas. You can get free camping permits for the area you're in and you'd be isolated. Nice forest sounds too. Gas is a drag but the scenery is great.

Just my two cents, you do you
