I'm the same way. I love running and playing in RPGs, but I get absolutely zero enjoyment out of watching anyone else do it.
Seems like the kind of thing I would love on paper.

Pretty sure they were talking about the Third Street Saints (from the Saints Row games), but honestly your point still stands.

Right I was unclear. Disney had optioned the remaining Oz books, the ones that weren't already public domain and the ones that MGM didn't hold the movie rights to.

Here's something fun I learned today: the 1939 Wizard of Oz movie that everyone knows is the fourth time Wizard of Oz was made into a movie. There were silent films made in 1910 and 1925 and an animated adaptation in 1935.

And Disney had to pay to have them in Return to Oz.

Some of the books were public domain at this point, and Disney owned the movie rights to the ones that weren't. The last of the books didn't lose its copyright until 1996.

I agree about the way Gomez is being played, but that's not miscasting, that's down to direction.

In addition to everything else, I'm thinking about Neil's potential future patients. I wouldn't want my doctor to be a person who always wanted to be something other than a doctor.

One guy yelled at my co-worker, "Not everybody is a computer expert that likes to update their computer every year, you know!"
Like, sir... your computer's operating system is old enough to vote. You wouldn't drive the same car for that long, mostly. In the world of computing technology, your computer qualifies as an antique.
And you're using the 32-bit edition of XP. Don't you think it'd be nice to have more than 4 gigs of RAM in your machine?

It is. When the application hosting company I work for upgraded to Windows Server 16, we had to let our customers know that it wasn't possible to connect from Windows XP computers anymore. We got a LOT of angry phone calls about that. This was in 2019

I just watched an interview where she listed Bob Fosse, "videos of 80s goth clubs," and Siouxsie Sioux as the main inspirations for her dance.
Also, she had Covid on the day they shot it and she felt like she'd been hit by a truck.

That's a good point. I thought the casting of both Morticia and Gomez were inspired choices, but was surprised at how low-key they both played everything.
I've seen enough of Catherine Zeta-Jones and Luis Guzman to know that they could, as a pair, give previous owners of the role a run for their money.
But the idea that we're viewing them through Wednesday's eyes, where they only exist on a scale from embarrassing to nauseating makes it make sense.
I daresay there's also an element of wanting to avoid attempting a carbon copy of either Carolyn Jones/John Astin or Anjelica Huston/Raul Julia.

I'm seeing people with vitiligo get more and more representation lately. I noticed in the last year or so it's been an option in a few different video games I've played where you get to design your own character. Love to see it.

But the actual story is actually more ridiculous.

All my experience with cats convinces me that they are much more sensitive to "ghosts" than humans.
By which I mean, I don't think ghosts are literally real, but that there are explicable phenomena that give people spooky impressions that make them think haunting is happening - and cats are much more sensitive and reactive to whatever those are.
