They were used extensively in naval warfare, dropping a grenade down a hatch was very effective, but these were fuse lit and some what unreliable
In Open field battles you could not huck them very far and you were exposed to enemy arrows and other fire
In closed quarters they had some use
But in the field a cannon was far better

Oh classic Biden release someone who will provide guns to terrorists to kill innocent people to look like hero for bringing home a woman who was stupid enough to bring grass into Russia
Biden is the original Lord Farquaad " Some of you may suffer and die, but that is a price I am willing to pay"
Score another point for Putin

The problem is, is there are too many stupid people who either believe the lies, or are willing to accept them to get what they want

So we traded a guy who enables terrorists to kill thousands of people by providing them with arms, for a woman who was stupid enough to take drugs into Russia?
Oh yeah that was a great deal. Oh and all you innocent people who will now die because this guy is back in business. Your death is a high price to pay, But one Biden is willing to pay to look good

Right and I don't think ity applies to all ancient egyptian mummies. It is a typical overstep

I think to say this applied to all mummies everywhere is as irresponsible as saying all Americans like Hot dogs
It surely could have applied to some.....but others probably not

well for about 13 years there was this nasty little Austrian in charge of Germany who pretty much killed or persecuted anyone not of Aryan persuasion
As far as Italy is concetned its unification did not begin to occur until the 20th century. With influences and vying for control from forces like The Church, Medici, Borgia and Even the Sicilian mobs keeping them separate

We were nothing like a world power in the early 1800's we were still trying to establish ourselves and we were still dealing with the Brits (War of 1812)
We didn't really start projecting our force until the Spanish America War of the LATE 1800's
