Sorry this happened to you! I eat lunch there everyday and it's always super crowded and never had an issue. And I personally do see mall security often.

They patrol each store, and I notice they seem to scan a tiny QR sticker at each store. Maybe to track their patrolling in a system. I'm a semi large guy and I would like to think I'd step in if I knew something was wrong.

Not this time unfortunately. We've renewed once already and have been here for 3 years, great spot. The net rent is going from 2750 to about 3750 for a 1 bedroom.

The jump feels big since there's no concession this time. The gross rent was about 3300 before the 3 months free I think. But still, a big jump.

Our decision is not entirely based on the rent jump. I'm getting married in December and will be gone for all of December. So it kind of makes sense to just float for a month without rent! Timing ended up perfect.

Newport mall has cheap parking. Across the street from the path train. They said they're driving to jersey city. So it might be near their location anyway.

And they'll skip the road traffic caused by the game. As well as toll fees and extravagant parking prices. Might get there even faster!

They could have pushed you aside as soon as you put in your bank card and pin. Then they have access to withdraw a ton of money before running away. NEVER LET A SUSPICIOUS STRANGER NEAR YOU AT THE ATM.

There's a guy named Sal in the New Jersey Tesla Car Club that does this in the heart of JC.

This post shows and explains it. Exactly what you're looking for. He's really open to helping people out and his hobby is to spread the word on EVs, so definitely reach out to him! He said he's been doing this for several years and has never had anyone tamper with it.
