Around the corner from super buy rite there's a large graffiti mural that says "greetings from jersey city". It's behind the Lukoil gas station on Erie and 12th street

They didn't change the design to be easier to use. They changed it to improve aerodynamic drag (less drag = less power needed = more battery range).

There's a tiny button on the side of each door, you push it and the door pops open a tiny bit, and then you just pull it open the rest of the way.

That's wild. You should report it to the state of NJ, I'm sure they'd be liable for some hefty fine. https://www.visitmonmouth.com/Page.aspx?Id=133#:~:text=The%20Weights%20%26%20Measures%20Office%20is,is%20732%2D683%2D8590.

It's not a fraud school. But it's not very good or renowned anywhere. The best part is it's not expensive so you won't be in a ton of debt.

Strictly JC: probably cheesecake factory. But that's a chain so kind of a cop-out
If you're willing to expand; strawberry cheesecake from Coach House in north bergen.

Parking sucks after 7pm. But you'll usually find something, just be prepared to park a block or two away. Or worst case park near a corner and roll the dice on a parking ticket.

Reply to Weehawken v/s Jersey City by Maximum_gravity_98
I think the part of Weehawken affected the most by Sandy is the small neighborhood near the exxon station (near the exit to the Lincoln tunnel). The waterfront also flooded but most buildings escaped major damage.
Lincoln Harbor is nice because you're a short walk into Hoboken, there's a whole foods right there, and easy bus/ferry access to nyc (or light rail into Hoboken/JC). A lot of newer buildings, plus more going up as we speak. Downside is rents are high (over $3k for a 1 bedroom).
Port imperial is another solid option - a lot of what I said for Lincoln Harbor also applies here. But it's a bit farther from Hoboken so not really walkable. Same newer buildings, same high rents.
Weehawken above the cliff is much more similar to jersey city heights. Older colonial housing. Limited parking. But gorgeous views by Blvd East. Bus or jitney is the main transportation method to nyc. Rents will be lower unless you're right on Blvd East.

So I'm not 100% sure, but i live in Weehawken and there's new construction going up next to the Sheraton hotel. I heard the noise last night and it almost seemed to be coming from that job site. Wonder if they were testing some heavy equipment, or maybe adjusting/securing for the strong winds forecasted today.

It tends to arrive a minute or two early, so make sure to get there with plenty of time to spare.

Tres chilitos (mexican) used to be good a couple of years ago, but quality has gone downhill since the owner's untimely passing.
There's a few newer Peruvian spots that are quite good, but they haven't been around long enough or have enough quality to warrant a recommendation.
Kikiriki (peruvian) has great rotisserie Peruvian style chicken. But it's pretty much takeout only.
There's also a newish Peruvian spot at the corner of jfk blvd and Lincoln (the site of the old Vinnies pizzeria if you remember it). I've tried a couple of things there and thought it was decent, but its also more of a takeout spot.
Noches de colombia is ok, but not the great value it used to be some years ago.
Rumbas is probably the best of the sit down, no frills, good food, good value.
The best lunch value is probably La Concha (near Charles and Central ave). Delicious and huge portions.

Probably 35-45 mins depending on what part of nyc you need to go. (5-10 min walk to light rail, 15 min ride to exchange place, then path to either world trade or 33rd).
I know some of the buildings also have a shuttle bus to journal square, so taking the path from there is also an option. Just not sure if all these new buildings offer it.

There's new apartment complexes near west side Ave. Obviously not directly comparable in terms of neighborhoods, but you'd be close to the light rail and still enjoy decent rent and also good amenities (pool/gym).

When I lived in the Heights, it was a block away from the bus stop on jfk blvd. That was a big appeal for my commute to nyc for work. If I had to walk to Central Ave to catch the bus (10 mins walk) it would have been frustrating.
The rush hour bus (jitney) service on JFK Blvd used to be great (buses every few mins in the mornings), but I haven't lived there since before covid so no idea how it is today.

There's buses on JFK Blvd, Central Ave, and Palisade Ave. I'm not sure there's any places in the Heights that are a 15 min walk from public transportation.
