Roland has been making audio equipment (mostly for making music) for decades. These were about $190 after taxes in Amazon. Overall, they're pretty neutral with a slight emphasis on the mids. I use the Fosi to slightly bump up the bass and slightly lower the treble. I am still getting to know the headphones, and plan to write something up once I've had more time with them.

The Q4 and the DS1 both work flawlessly from all of my devices that have a USB-C port. The Q4 is connected via a USB-C C to USB-B cable, and powered by a cell phone charger. The K5, on the other hand doesn't like my tablets at all (they can't drive it.)

Roland RH-A30 headphones, Fosi Audio Q4 and a 2022 Kindle Fire HD 8, streaming from Amazon Unlimited. This will end up going to my office next week. It's nice to have some tunes to listen to while I work!

Hardware cost me less than $350, and it sounds pretty great. Not too shabby!

I've never understood the "original formatting" thing when it comes to music. Unless you were in the studio listening to the final mix/master, you have no clue how it sounded. I can pretty much guarantee that they didn't mix it to sound like it sounds with your setup... They had their own setup.

Adjust things as you see fit, or don't adjust at all. It's really up to you.

I have a Fosi Audio DS1. I feel it improves the sound overall. I've compared my headphone jacks from my Samsung tablet and my two laptops.

When streaming Ultra HD on my Alienware, I checked the bitrate... 24 bit at 48khz. The Fosi allows 24 bit at 96khz.

Careful, though... the amp allows for much louder volume!
