Balint was a household name from her time in office. Not clear how much of an impact the crypto money had

Reply to Why can't vermont tax Airnbn by Old_Ad_1301
We need to be clear on what AirBnB is for. We know people with a darn and they built a little cabin they rent through AirBnB. That's not telling away housing. But when people buy houses or condos and turn them into AirBnBs, that's an issue

Anyone else a little nervous? This is going to be a bad year for Democrats and the are lots of people in VT who won't admit to being MAGA

Yep. And cutting things like dining options so students have to wait an hour to get lunch because there's only a few places to go. At some point that's going to hurt admissions

There's been a big shift towards wealthier out of state students in recent years

I agree completely. It's very frustrating. And many simultaneously oppose increased school funding

I'm critical of keeping p these schools but I could see a case made for keeping them to attract newcomers. However that would also require more housing.

I understand the desire to keep a local school but someone has to pay for it, and it's not these towns. It's not clear why the rest of the state has to support this

If it was just a wait I'd be fine. But the woman literally said "I'm going to get these people first then I'll come back to you." So they knew they were bumping us.

So when your server tells you they're going to take care of people who they placed after you and you're still waiting to get your drinks as other new people get served, you would have no complaints at all?
Also I bet you're the kind of person who calls everyone who disagrees with you on politics a neoliberal too, right?

How dare I be annoyed that my family is actively ignored by a café owner in favor of old people? You're absolutely right

A lot of people work on international issues. They don't deserve to be honored alongside people who have spent their lives doing it.
