This is neat. I’ve driven past that area thousands of times but never seen it from this view (obviously).

I don’t ride scooters at all, but a good reason that I’ll ride my bike on the sidewalk sometimes is because the drivers here are fucking lunatics, and in the car vs. scooter vs. bike deathmatch the car always wins.

Oh I 100% agree. He kept asking other people in stopped traffic and I can guarantee that there are one or two people gullible enough to just hand over their phone to a random person.
I was on my lunch break in Times Square in like 2014 and a German family came up to me out of nowhere on the street. The Mother handed me her phone with one of those cases where they had their credit cards and other things in a pocket and asked me if I knew the number for a cab to Rockefeller Center.
I was dumbfounded. Just gave me an $800 iPhone with zero hesitation. Those folks are definitely out there.

Had a kid in a shiesty ask me no less than 4 times via hand signals for my phone today, at stop light at 8am.
I get it, you need to make a phone call, but go to a gas station, a rite aid, a CVS, or anywhere else. I’m not handing you my phone when I’m in a car and you’re on foot. I laughed about it the rest of the way to work.

I’m always glad to see it too. I tried to go to Astronomy on Tap at Guilford hall a couple weeks back and although my wife and I couldn’t get in, I’m rooting for Baltimore residents to go out and enjoy events so I wasn’t upset.
I noticed there were A LOT of people out last night too and it was great to see.

Yes, plenty of folks including myself have noticed the difference. It’s made my trip to and from work go from barely tolerable to incredibly convoluted, annoying, and honestly dangerous. Taking 295 to 695 to 95 to 395 is not the most calming way to go 8 miles.
Some insight from our neighborly DOT rep in this subreddit:
TLDR: The lights are out of sync and they’re working on it, but time will tell if it’ll go back to normal anytime soon.

u/bmorecitydot This is great. Do we have any updates on why MLK Boulevard is still snarled with traffic all the time now? Was the timing of the lights changed?

Bubble City. Nice guys, it might be a bit pricy but they do great work on our bedding and our dog’s stuff once a month.

Thank you! It’s taken my commute from tolerable to miserable and I’m sure I’m not the only one. Appreciate it. 👍🏻

Wow, that’s odd. I was thinking about posting this very same question.
Yesterday and today it was absolutely packed on MLK when there’s literally nothing holding anyone up and it pretty much clears up completely by the time you get toward the casino/Russell Street. Odd and super annoying.
u/bmorecityDOT any insight?

They’re great guys, for real.
They helped me with an alignment a couple times and even came on a 15 min ride with me to make sure I wasn’t hallucinating an issue. Their operation is really impressive and they’re nice enough to share tours of the shop.
I highly recommend them if you have a modified car, a JDM car, or are just into cars in general.
And yeah, they have some seriously awesome builds.

Hit up JE Import Performance on Moravia Park Dr. It may be more expensive than a self storage facility but it’ll be inside and secure.

If you’re doing this in 1-2 days or over a weekend, a Turo with unlimited mileage would do.

No chance for remote work for me, but I agree that rush hour in the rain, especially night rain is a very “when someone crashes into me, not if” situation.
