Public Transit

Just a reminder that if you get bit by ANY animal, you should get a rabies vaccine immediately. If you wait until you start showing symptoms it's too late.

Bike network is okay downtown, with a few connections elsewhere. Generally the biggest problem is connections though. You'll end up street riding inevitably. This can vary from extremely safe to extremely dangerous depending on which road you need to do it on.

Grove St Bikes is a great shop in town. Pretty well stocked and knowledgeable. They do good work, decently fast, and definitely take care of their customers. If you're looking for a new bike they only sell Giant so don't be afraid to shop around.

Lived in all but queens. Jersey City is probably my favorite but Hoboken is arguably a little more convenient and livable most of the time. Foods not as good over here in Hoboken though. Speaking of food Brooklyn, you have to travel to get certain foods while JC has pretty much everything in pickup or delivery range.

Possums are harmless, resistant to rabies, and eat ticks and other pests. Ticks though, watch out for those. If you go running in heavy brush or forest check yourself all over and check your pets regularly.
