You do realize in the absence of guns and gun laws.. guns will be produced due to demand, likewise with zero legal restrictions on their functionality (read: everyone gets a suppressed fullauto short barreled phased plasma rifle in the 40 watt range.) Really not a well thought out statement you made there.

The founding fathers were pretty fond of both guns and weed.
Pruedrive t1_jb51wyg wrote
They will (probably) revise the state transfer paperwork to take out language about weed.. but you'll still be more than likely committing perjury on the federal forms if you partake in the devils lettuce, and want to obtain a firearm.
It's a interesting time to be alive, why cannabis federally remains in the same schedule of drugs as heroin, is well beyond me. Why we use this as a discriminator for who can exercise this right is equally as baffling.

War is hell. Sad so many young lives being cut short.

Our only concern is how to deal with post Putin Russia when this inevitably leads to their country's collapse and a further destabilizing of that nation. Mark my words on this.. this doesn't look good for them or Putin, if they do not pull off some major spring/sumer miracles on this... or give Ukraine/NATO a favorable peace settlement, they are up shits creek.

They are absolute trash. I take none of their threats as legitimate, and they wouldn’t have a snowballs chance in hell if they took us on in a conventional war.

Or.. since the characters in the Shrek universe are speaking in English.. making it able for us the viewers to understand what they are talking about, it’s just the closest translation of a similar disease that they have in their world.
I’ll see myself out..

Yeah that information should be between you and the issuing authority, that’s it.. it holds no relevance for anyone else outside of a gun store, and shooting range. The broader public having access to it only creates the potential for further abuse.

No it’s just something that shouldn’t be available to the public because it’s information of a personal nature. In all due honesty in this situation how would that information really change anything, outside of maybe interjecting a bit more fear into it? Until she does something illegal, or dangerous wether or not she has a permit is irrelevant, she’s clearly an unstable person, she could already have access to a weapon with no permit.. and needs to be treated in those regards. The authorities who respond to the situation will know if she has one or not.

It shouldn’t be available to the public.. it really sucks OP is in this situation, I’d just try and avoid her, and do your best to call the authorities if she’s doing something legitimately dangerous that would garner their attention. I’m hesitant to say this.. but this is a situation as to why permits exist in the first place. (For more reasons than one.)

How is that odd? If you have any intention to be a gun owner in this state it’s a hoop you unfortunately have to jump through, and CT is constantly changing our gun laws, and this right is almost constantly under legislative attack, this only makes the process more difficult.

There really aren't any peers that are scaleable.. or appropriate. That said though a whole host of other nations with nowhere near the same economic might as ours have figured it out.. surely we can. Also part of it probably will be a focus on preventative care.. tons of people would benefit from getting just annual checkups, more so when a medical professional tells them to put down the fork and do something healthy for a change.

I wouldn’t use Canada as an analogue either if we are being honest… they have a population smaller than CA. And you really can’t let the perfect be the enemy of the good.

I’m not sure how many people go into the medical field solely for financial gain… I would hope medical professionals are there cause they want to help people first and foremost. If this dissuades people from that line of work because, the government steps in and says, hey you really shouldn’t be making people go into debt for the rest of their lives, over circumstances that often are outside of their control just because you can.. well then fuck fuck those people. What’s even the point to having a Hippocratic Oath, if you are going to put a financial barrier between you and your patients. Now understand, I’m all for medical professionals being well paid.. but we pay stupid amounts for our healthcare in this country that a multitude of our other peer nations don’t, and there are huge factors to that, mainly how we pay for our healthcare.

Sure there is a lot of distrust but the federal goverment is perfectly capable of running large agency's and programs, as long as they properly fund them and give them enough autonomy to do their own thing. Can't let the perfect be the enemy of the good.

I mean.. the goverment could move to a single payer universal healthcare system, like the rest of the industrial world.. then they can set the prices.
