DC is so pure this time of year. Everyone genuinely ecstatic to look at the trees and flowers. I love it.

Call a pool service and get a quote for maintenance. I’ve been told it can cost $10-20k/year. I have no idea how manageable that is to do yourself or why it’s that much. But that sounds like a lot of money on top of higher home insurance and the anxiety you may have if you have kids around the pool. Personally that wouldn’t be worth it to me.

Can you expand on how they’re treating them as if they aren’t human beings? I’m not doubting you but want to know more about their treatment.

This is 100% of my positive renting experiences. I have lived in 6 diff apartments in DC since 2009 and all have been rentals from owners (or short term sublets by tenants) who were like, meh, yeah I am just waiting for the right person so I only advertised by word of mouth or with a low quality set of pictures on Craigslist. Don’t overlook these! Renting from an owner rather than from a big commercial building is sooo much better.
Ed: renting from an “owner” not a “wiener” lol autocorrect

Yeah the PH of DC’s water is supposedly really high and wreaks havoc on your hair and skin :/

Can you tell me more about your filter system? I’m considering doing one now to address the overall PH (which I think is drying our hair and skin excessively) and the chlorine. Our plumber is quoting $5-8k ugh. Did you pay that much? Any tips?

That’s a lovely idea. I would say a 6-pack of warm socks, $10 Starbucks or CVS gift card, Christmas candy.

Guys this is the purest time of DC, where people sit for hours in traffic just to see TREES. I love it.
