I went to university about half hour away, but never actually got the chance to go.

I almost had the chance once. A group of my Fraternity Brothers randomly decided they wanted to head out at like midnight or so... Unfortunately I was on duty (working as an RA) & had to stay in the dorm till 7am so I wasn't able to jump in the car and head out ...

I'm not sure how much rust is too much rust, but yeah.... They will fail you if you do have too much rust.

I had to get rid of my jeep because the floor was too rusted. They told me they might be able to patch it up enough they might be able to pass it that year, but that'd be the end of it.... They were surprised I wasn't already driving Fred Flinstone style with my feet going through the floor....

Take everything you need for Real ID with you and stop off at your local DMV.

You can talk to someone in person who should be able to pull up your file and see what's up.

And maybe they can take you back and process your new ID right there.

That's what we did awhile back. Mom's license was expiring and she figured she might as well get a Real ID. I still had a few years left on my license but I grabbed my social security card, passport etc and went with her to the DMV. It was snowing that day so there was only like 2 other people there so it was a short wait.

They called us up, we explained why we were there. He checked to make sure we had everything and then took us back. They copied what they needed to copy, entered what they needed to enter etc... I'm pretty sure I stayed on the testing side but mom might have had to go over to have her photo taken.

Took maybe 30/45min and we were done. They gave us a sheet of paper, that verified mom's expiring ID was being processed. He wasn't sure if my ID needed it since it still had a few years left but gave me one to, just in case.

A week or so later our new IDs showed up in the mail.

I was curious how the expiration date would be on mine since I got it on mom's birthday rather than mine ... But they just added 4 years to it, as if I had gone in at a normal time... So instead of expiring this year on my birthday it expired in '26 on my birthday ...

[I should try to renew my passport early hopefully they do similar with that since I somehow managed to get one that expires on 4 July. Thought that was fitting for a US passport]

The deer was smart. If your going to be hit by a car, your best move is to jump and roll into the windshield. Your more likely to survive with less serious injuries than if the car hits you standing.

Other related trivia...
You have an 80% chance of surviving being hit by a car traveling 35mph or lower. But if it's traveling 45 or higher when it hits you, your only 20% likely to survive. (*That's for humans, not sure about deer)

>States rights is a flawed philosophy

Especially when they don't follow it

Sen Graham in the summer: There is NO national ban on abortion! No one is suggesting that! This is something individual states need to decide on for themselves!

Sen Graham in the fall: We must have a national ban on abortion!!!!

And I bet Congressman Kelly will see no problem with that... Even though he told me he believes Trump should NEVER be expected to concede. It would be too hypocritical, because Hillary once told Biden never to concede if he lost!

Unless you go to an excessively small school, professors generally do not take pictures for nor distribute your school IDs during class.

You'll need to Google "where do I get my student ID at [name of school]" or ask at admissions or such.
