Higher education. MWF on campus and T Th from home, which suits me just fine because Tuesdays seem to have the worst traffic.

Yellow Springs Ohio is at the higher end of your driving limit (about 4 hours), but is a very cute historic town with lots of cute BnBs and an old inn. Lots of biking, nature, hiking in a state park that borders the town.

We have a lot of birds here that sing year round/more frequently in January and February than other songbird species (Northern Cardinal, Black-capped Chickadee, American Robins, Song Sparrows and the loudest of the bunch--House and Carolina Wrens). The increase in sunlight over the days, though minimal for us to notice, does impact the increase in frequency of their morning songs as they prepare/practice for mating season.
