Something that may change your mind:
No matter what political ideology you subscribe to, there's one major issue with them all - someone has to clean the toilets. No matter how "fool proof" your utopia blueprints are, most people are going to be stuck with awful unfulfilling roles, and hate their lives.
That is, until we have cheap general-purpose robots. Adaptable AI powered bots will do every last one of those soul crushing tasks that make people want to shoot themselves. That's why I think technology will save us all

Good text-to-video is going to be NUTS and I can't wait. The era of a small handful of powerful people deciding what we all watch will finally come to an end

Meta will never do it, for business reasons. If your PC was the workhorse, you may not be inclined to buy all your VR apps on the Meta store

Technology will save us all.
No matter what "social system" you think is best, there's one glaring issue with them all: someone has to clean the toilets. All social systems are just different ways of answering "who has to perform the awful-but-necessary jobs, and by what mechanism is it decided"
Robots and A.I. remove that part of the equation completely. True utopia is not possible until this is achieved

The thing that bothers me is that they never "go back to the drawing board" and instead choose to "tweak the current theory" x500 times. Doesn't seem very scientific, and reminds me of Luminiferous Aether or Quintessence. The descendants of those 16th century scientists are still marching around waving their hands, they just wear a different style of hat now
