Except this rule isn't for "non-Americans" but anyone transferring into the NYC system. As the article says:

>“Students transferring from another state or country, including asylum seekers, have 30 days from their enrollment to provide evidence of vaccinations or be in the process of acquiring vaccinations,” the guidance says.

So people from "other states", AKA, also Americans, have this same "right".

I googled it and came up with exactly one example, because the parking lot is within a bigger historic area (the South Street Seaport), as well as one scholarly article from the National Council on Public History. The rest were mostly news stories which were either about claims that didn't happen or just the words "historic" and "parking".

I admit this isn't exactly a thorough search though, so do you have examples?

Each system, not each line. It's easy to travel without crossing into different systems most of the time. Also it doesn't even matter too much because you pay by distance, and all you do when going between systems is tap at the gate, so a route from X->Y via one system or via two different systems does not usually change the price that much.

Also the time of the last train really depends. On the Yamanote line the last train is 1:20 and the first is 4:30, so that's only a three hour window, they sure aren't doing huge amounts of maintenance in that.

I think about it this way:

Is New York's transportation better than pretty much 99% of the rest of the US? Yes.

Are there several similar cities around the world that have similar, but better, transportation systems? Also yes.

I remember one day walking past some Chinpira in Yoyogi park doing stupid shit. The cops came up to them and were like, "Can you please stop?" and the reply was basically Fuck off, and the cops left.

But anyway, simply smoking pot in Tokyo runs the risk of ruining your entire life and career. So, there you go. I'm not sure it's relevant though.
